Description

Duties and Responsibilities:General1. Prepare correspondence, reports, and other documents.2. Obtain and organize pertinent data as needed and put it into a usable form.3. Prioritize incoming correspondence, responding in writing or by phone to inquiries.4. Organize and maintain efficient filing system.5. Serve as information resource for state agencies/officials, other school districts, and others requiring information in areas of defined responsibility.Transportation1. Assure conformity with all state laws and regulations regarding school transportation.2. Work with contractors to set safe and efficient bus routes for all public and non-public schools in the district.3. Consider approval of modifications to established bus routes when requested by contractors, principals, and/or parents.4. Act as liaison with parents for complaints and special requests.5. Manage the District owned bus routes, and coordinate the maintenance of the buses.6. Supervise and evaluate the bus drivers that drive District routes with the District owned buses.Enrollments1. Manage and maintain entire Open Enrollment process for School District.2. Maintain the district’s student enrollment records and provide regular updates for purposes of accounting and staffing.3. Provide information regarding school boundary lines for new enrollments.4. Conduct the semi-annual student counts and assist in the projection of future enrollments based on census information.5. Gather and synthesize information for the student enrollment counts assuring accuracy of information submitted to state agencies.

Qualifications

Required1. Superior computer skills/experience with ability to produce written communications, reports publications for district wide use.2. Exceptional human relations skills, demonstrating effective verbal and written communications with students, parents, staff and community members.3. Extreme accuracy and attention to detail, demonstrating strong grammar and proofreading skills.4. Ability to organize/prioritize tasks to meet stringent timelines.5. Initiative and self-motivation to work independently.6. Ability to maintain confidentiality of information.7. Ability to create and maintain accurate records.8. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the district may find appropriate and acceptable.Desired9. Broad knowledge of school district operations, and the rules and practices associated with enrollment, residency, and transportation.10. Experience with direction, motivation, and supervision of employees.11. Skilled in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Google.
